1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1

1971 Mach 1 Mustang Fastback    

Black on White and this Stallion is a beauty to behold! You will have to see and drive to believe how clean and complete in original form this car really is! Ford Motor Company Build Sheet is in my possession with Ford emblem in blue right at the top! This Stead was built and completed in Dearborn, MI on June 18, 1971. As it began so it is for the next very fortunate owner.   

The 351 Cleveland was removed and completely rebuilt, painted and reinstalled (only 5,600 miles since rebuild and nothing was molested or bored out...documented and watched over every step of the way!). Replaced: camshaft, lifters, timing chain, gears, seals, rod bearings, main bearing, top rings, pistons, and more (dish top pistons for lower compression and longer life and runs on 87 Octane and up without a knock). This is a 351 Cleveland 4V engine with stock 285hp-300hp. 351 Cleveland 2V is listed on build sheet, so the original owner elected to have a 351 4V installed or an owner since that time placed the larger port engine in the car. The bottom line is it is a 351 Cleveland and the 4V is more valuable and more powerful than the 2V (port size difference for increased horse power). This is a numbers matching engine since it is a 351 Cleveland.  

The Automatic Transmission XPL Type (C-6) puts the power to the ground in crisp shift. It is difficult to ever destroy this largest in Ford's history in auto transmission technology. Ford sells the hound out of this trans to this day. You just can't beat original! As the build sheet outlines this car came with Air Conditioning and it blows cold! The condenser, hoses, heater core, blower motor, etc. are new.   

New factory original color black base coat, clear coat with argent stripes. The lines on this Stallion are straight and true. The final paint went on August 2007. The look is finished in good rubber with P235/R15 60 Road Huggers with the original Ford "Moon Dish" beauty rings and center caps.    

New Pearl White Interior was installed (like original). New Mach 1 Carpet and pad. Pans are all solid and replaced with new pans where needed. The original AM/FM Multiplex Radio, steering wheel, instrument panel and new dash front and rear give you a clean cockpit. The trunk is immaculate and sealed in original Gray Splatter Paint.    

A beautiful finished look is here with the new, as originally equipped front Mach 1 grille with running Pony and new rear chrome bumper. The Ram Air Hood dresses it out right!
